There are velvet pants at Sportsgirl. I’m probably going to buy a pair. Dressing more like my mum everyday. But blue or black? Or both..?
Links between conservatism and low intelligence... →
“Right-wingers tend to be less intelligent than left-wingers, and people with low childhood intelligence tend to grow up to have racist and anti-gay views, says a controversial new study.”

In a frilly party dress on the couch having a stick of salami and clove cigarettes for dinner trying to work out how to download movies on the computer because I haven’t done a load of washing since Ben left, or gone grocery shopping, and I’ve already watched the seasons of glee and boardwalk empire he downloaded for me to distract me while he’s gone. He doesn’t come back...
The girl from work
DON’T ASK ME WHAT I’M READNG WHILE I’M READING. I’M READING. I DON’T WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND. WE ARE PURELY WORK COLLEAGUES AND I’M NOT INTERESTED IN FORGING RELATIONSHIPS OR EVEN PASSING NICETIES. I’M READING SO I DON’T HAVE TO TALK TO OTHER PEOPLE. AND DON’T ASK TO BORROW A PEN ALL UP IN MY FACE LIKE I DON’T HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY NO....

Moving and packing
Moving out soon and trying to sort out what to pack and what to throw out. Getting to my shelves and shelves of magazines. It’s so hard to part with them but I’ve got it down to two reasonable piles. All of the Vogues are going. Even the French, Russian and Japanese ones. I should have thrown them out when I was trying to get better but I didn’t want to give up in some sick...
Perfect love
“Waiting for the perfect love?” “No, even I know better than that. I’m looking for selfishness. Perfect selfishness. Like, say I tell you I want to eat strawberry shortcake. And you stop everything you’re doing and run out and buy it for me. And you come back out of breath and get down on your knees and hold this strawberry shortcake out to me. And I say I don’t...

Playing it safe.
I have this really irrational fear about starting new books. Unless I’m already familiar with the author I have to really push myself to read the first chapter. Like I can’t deal with the committing to a new story, character, style. Which is why all the books I own have been read several times over. It’s so comforting to already know what’s happening and what will happen...

Criminal fishrug!
Currently reading Jonathan Lethem’s The Fortress of Solitude. Think he’s becoming a favourite. Read Motherless Brooklyn a few weeks back and it’s brilliant. Lethem loves words. Hugs birds. Brilliantly deals with orphans with tourettes and 10 year olds from brooklyn. I’m a sucker for a well written book You and what army? You and your so-called friends. Yo mama. On the...

Benny gave me a kaleidoscope with the colours of monet’s waterlilies handmade in Cali and when you look inside it says I love you Lily.
I love him. I also love kaleidoscopes.
Got my first ever job.
Heaps stoked. My life goes pretty okay you know. Everything in time.

Arts and craft day was always Thursday
Went to spotlight with Ben yesterday and now I’m making friendship bracelets like I’m in year 5 again. I’ve forgotten how to do the real cool patterns though.
I want Hello Kitty vans but I can’t decide between the eras or the authentics. Life.
If you live in total filth and eat rubbish all the time then you’re going to get sick. If you surround yourself with sick people you’re going to get sick too. It’s not bad luck or poor timing or unfortunate. It’s just one of those rules of the universe. And I’m not taking any part in the sick party so excuse me my well being. Aidan’s got my back on this one.

I never have anyone to tell these things to but I really do love Ben so much. Even though he is clumsy and he eats messily and he chipped my tooth and he accelerates too quickly when he drives I love him. I hope he never leaves me.
Thank for listening, Internet.
